Why Upward?

Upward is about more than just developing your child’s skills—we’re committed to building their character, too. As a faith-based program, we use the power of sports to share the gospel and help kids discover Jesus in every community.

Our coaches are dedicated to helping players grow in faith, character, skills, and a love for the game!

Player Evaluations

Player evaluations help us get a snapshot of each player's current skill level at the beginning of the season. This is not a tryout—everyone is welcome, regardless of experience or ability level! The purpose of evaluations is simply to help us create balanced teams so every player has a fun, competitive, and positive experience throughout the season.

To be placed on a team, all players must attend one evaluation session each season, regardless of how long they have participated in the league. We offer multiple evaluation dates to help accommodate busy family schedules. The evaluation process is quick, relaxed, and designed to help us build the best experience possible for every player. Players will rotate through a set of stations focused on passing, receiving, speed, and agility. Cleats are encouraged (any type will do).

• Saturday, August 8, 9-11 am

• Tuesday, August 11, 6-8 pm

• Saturday, August 15, 9-11 am

  Location: Coleman Park baseball fields

Practices:

• Begin the week of August 24

• 1-2 days a week pre-season

• 1 day a week once season begins

Games:

• Tuesdays beginning September 8, 2026

• Season runs 6 weeks

• All games will be played at Coleman Park in the baseball outfields
